Going Bowling – All of the sources picked Clemson, Florida State, Miami, NC State and Virginia Tech to become bowl eligible.  Four sources picked Louisville and Georgia Tech to go bowling, three picked Wake Forest, Pitt and Boston College, two called out to the Blue Devils and only Phil Steele looked for the Tar Heels to get to a bowl.

Playoff Bound – All of the sources picked Clemson to return to the College Football Playoff for a fourth-consecutive season.

Sebastian is just Peachy – All five of the sources picked the University of Miami to received a bid to play in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

The Crazy Projections – Remember, that none of the experts listed can have the team to go the game we select, so that limits available bowls for any team.  For example, all of the experts pick Clemson to be in the College Football Playoff, in either the Orange or the Cotton Bowl, so those games are off limits for our selection.  If they don’t go there, where will they play?  Here are our staff projections using those parameters –

  • Boston College – Independence
  • Clemson – Peach Bowl
  • Duke – Birmingham Bowl
  • Florida State – Gator Bowl
  • Georgia Tech – Belk Bowl
  • Louisville – Military Bowl
  • Miami – Fiesta Bowl
  • NC State – Camping World Bowl
  • North Carolina – St. Petersburg Bowl
  • Pitt – Sun Bowl
  • Syracuse – Quick Lane
  • Virginia – No Bowl Invitation
  • Virginia Tech – Pinstripe Bowl
  • Wake Forest – Heart of Dallas (Replaces Big Ten)
