The Latest in Auburn

Hello Auburn Fans!

let’s talk about what the Tiger’s have done within it’s last two weeks of the regular season…

Auburn seniors said goodbye to Jordan-Hare Stadium as they played in their final home game of the season against Alabama A&M. The Tiger’s defeated the Bulldogs 55-0.

Auburn had a disappointing 13-7 loss against Georgia on the Bulldog’s turf and many hoped for a turn around against Alabama. The most competitive game of the season.

The team was and still is bowl eligible but the only “Bowl” not really a bowl game that the team was positive about was the Iron Bowl…

I asked fans where they wanted the Tiger’s to play against and here were their responses:

“If they can beat Bama and then they finish in the top eight. Leaves them with sugar, cotton and rose. So rose will be pac12 and the big ten not in the final four. So chances are sugar more than cotton this year, said Robert Acuna.” A fan all the way from Indiana.

Music City. If it’s not one of the big games then at least they would be close by.

an Alabama Fan said, Toilet Bowl

But everything else that happened in the SEC Week 13 such as..

  • Florida losing to Florida State 31-13
  • Tennessee losing to Vanderbilt 45-34
  • Texas A&M losing to LSU 54-39

might have paved the way for Auburn to pack it’s bags for the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.

The Sugar Bowl is contracted to take the highest-ranked SEC team not in the College Football Playoff and pair it with the highest-ranked Big 12 team not in the playoff.

The game is the day after New Year’s and what a better way to start the new year than earning a ring!!
