What to watch this weekend! Saturday, six games have two ranked-teams

BUCKLE YOUR SEAT BELT, as we depart on what should be a wild ride.  At least three Top-25 teams will find the loss column for the first time on Saturday.   Looking into my crystal ball I see a total of five Top-25 teams that will taste defeat! The SEC Western Division will take center stage as six nationally ranked teams meet in three games. Get your favorite beverage and sit back for some outstanding football this weekend.

No. 6 TEXAS A&M 5-0 AT No.12 MISSISSIPPI STATE 4-0  Last time the Aggies came to Starkville, Johnny Manziel became Johnny Football, and the Bulldogs were sent to the kennel  This Saturday, the undefeated Aggies return to meet the undefeated Bulldogs. Last weekend, Kenny Hill led an impressive fourth quarter comeback as the Aggies scored 14 fourth-quarter points to force overtime against Arkansas. Hill then threw a 25-yard touchdown pass in overtime to secure the win. He will need to do more of the same Saturday if the Aggies are to remain undefeated. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been outstanding for the Bulldogs, tossing 11 touchdowns and rushing for 348 yards. Both Prescott and Hill are ranked in the top 10 in total QBR. The Bulldogs have had a bye week to prepare for this game, but the Aggies have outscored their opponents by 59 points in the fourth quarter! BULLDOGS BITE AGGIES 27-23

No.3 ALABAMA 4-0 AT No. 12 MISSISSIPPI 4-0 ESPN College GameDay will be on hand in Oxford on Saturday to party in the grove.   The Rebels enter the contest with the best defense in the SEC. They will need Quarterback Bo Wallace to play flawlessly to have a shot in this game. Alabama has had a week to prep, as they are coming off a bye. Bama quarterback Blake Sims has a firm grip on the quarterback position with his outstanding performances the past two games, tossing eight TDs and only two interceptions. T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry balance the offense with a strong running game. What concerns me for Ole Miss is that Wallace has already tossed six interceptions. The Crimson Tide has won 10 straight in this series, last Rebel win came with Eli Manning under center. MAKE IT 11 IN A ROW, TIDE ROLLS 31-23

No.15 LSU 4-1 AT No.5 AUBURN 4-0   Last year, LSU defeated Auburn 35-21 handing them their only regular season loss.  LSU Quarterback Brandon Harris will make his first collegiate road start this weekend. Harris, a true freshmen, is a gifted athlete who can both run and throw! Auburn is led by Nick Marshall and Cameron Artis-Payne. I think Auburn is the better team in all phases of the game. REVENGE WILL BE SWEET, AUBURN WINS 36-20

No. 4 OKLAHOMA 4-0 AT No. 25 TCU 3-0 Last season TCU went to Norman and gave the Sooners all they could handle, but came up short in a 20-17 loss. A year earlier the Sooners knocked down a pass in the end zone on the final play of the game to secure a 24-17 win. This year head coach Gary Patterson has his best team in years! The Horned Frogs have the second best defense in the nation, allowing only seven points per game. Trevone Boykin has been solid under center leading a balanced offense. The Sooners have been very impressive with solid wins over Tennessee and West Virginia. This game should go right down to the wire, and the Sooners have the “Red River Rivalry” up next. I love the Horned Frogs in this spot. SOONERS GET AMBUSHED IN FORT WORTH 26-20

MICHIGAN (2-3) AT RUTGERS (4-1) The Wolverines have been awful the last two weeks, in home losses to Utah and Minnesota, and the student body could be heard chanting “Fire Hoke!”  The best thing about this week is that the Wolverines are actually playing on the road.  The players have come out in support of their embattled coach.  Devin Gardner will return as starting quarterback after being benched. He gives the Wolverines the best chance for a win. The Scarlet Knights have been a solid surprise to this point. They own solid wins over Washington State, Navy and Tulane. Gary Nova remains inconsistent at quarterback as he has thrown seven interceptions. ANGRY WOLVERINES ATTACK SCARLET KNIGHTS 38-20

  • No. 19 NEBRASKA AT No. 10 MICHIGAN STATE Sparty shucks Cornhusker, shuts down Abdullah 38-24
  • No. 14 STANFORD AT No. 9 NOTRE DAME Not so fast my friends, Irish 26-17
  • MIAMI, FL AT GEORGIA TECH Ground game grounds Sebastian, Techsters win 28-20
