Carr Continues to Impress – Derek Carr once again led the Fresno State Bulldogs in a route of the Wyoming Cowboys where he threw for 360 yards and 4 TD’s. The Bulldogs put up 48 unanswered points on the Cowboys after being down 0-10 in the second quarter, but Carr dominated the rest of the game. The Bulldogs moved up to 14th in the BCS standings and will be idle this week before hosting the Lobos of New Mexico.

Aztecs Stun Spartans – The San Jose State Spartans led 30-20 over the San Diego State Aztecs Saturday and all of a sudden found themselves down 34-30 six minutes later. The Aztecs got a big TD run from Adam Muema, and got a huge interception from J.J. Whittaker with 2:30 left. The Aztecs held the ball the rest of the game and won a huge Mountain West matchup.

Bibbs Rushes for Record Day – Colorado State RB Kapri Bibbs ran for 312 yards and 4 TD’s in Saturday’s win over the Nevada Wolf Pack, breaking both the yard and TD record for the Rams in a single game. Bibbs recorded the second most rushing yards in a game this season, only falling behind NIU’s Jordan Lynch by five yards.

MAC

Huskies, Cardinals Set For Big Game – The Northern Illinois Huskies sit at 15th in the BCS standings, meaning right now they would find themselves in a BCS bowl game for the second straight year. But Wednesday, they will face their biggest test of the year in the 9-1 Ball State Cardinals. Both teams have star QB’s in Jordan Lynch and Keith Wenning who put their teams on their backs, and both will try to outdo each other Wednesday in order to gain control of the MAC West.

Oliver’s Huge Days Lead Bulls – Branden Oliver was already the MAC’s all time leading rusher, but last Tuesday he ran over the Ohio Bobcats going for 249 yards on 34 carries while adding 2 TD’s. It was a big win for the Bulls to gain control of the MAC East.

Sun Belt

Rajin’ Cajuns Narrowly Defeat Trojans – The Louisiana Lafayette Rajin’ Cajuns pulled out a key Sun Belt victory last Thursday defeating the Troy Trojans by five points. The Cajuns got a big game from QB Terrence Broadway who threw for 185 yards and ran for 63 more while adding four total TD’s. The Rajin’ Cajun remain atop the Sun Belt standings.

Conference USA

Carden’s Career Day Leads Pirates – East Carolina’s QB Shane Carden exploded on Saturday against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane passing for 384 yards and 5 TD’s, while also adding two scores on the ground and totaling over 400 yards. It was a career high for Carden in TD’s at seven, and he will look to lead the Pirates to another Conference USA Championship by winning some big games against conference rivals UAB and Marshall down the stretch.
